Fiji is one of our favorite destinations – stunning scenery, unparalleled diving, fantastic cuisine, and the friendliest people you will ever meet. Our Reservations Manager, Heather, recently returned from a trip to Fiji and came back with exciting news and updates. Read on for more and start daydreaming about your next trip down to Fiji (we certainly are!).
If you follow us on Facebook, you saw that Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort just reopened after extensive renovations. A fantastic option for families and couples alike, Jean-Michel Cousteau has one of the finest Kids Clubs in the region and provides separate seating times for dining so that couples can maintain a quieter, more romantic ambience. For couples looking for a romantic escape, there is a private island barely an acre in size and only a few hundred yards out in the lagoon. Couples can enjoy the day in seclusion with breakfast, morning tea, or sunset canapes!
Qamea Resort is known for their authentic Jungle Spa and our manager was fortunate enough to duck in for a quick Liftosome facial which she said was fantastic! Qamea also provides a wealth of activities for guests such as kayaks, snorkeling, island walks, and stand-up paddleboards as well as a number of off-island optional activities such as: Bouma National Waterfall Park excursion (an experience not to be missed!), pearl farm tour, jungle hike, bird watching and more!
While visiting, Heather was treated to a circle island cruise with wonderful snorkeling, a barbeque lunch, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Fiji Bitter on a deserted beach. What more could you ask for? Apparently this crab thought it was a great picnic too…
Matangi Private Island Resort & Spa is another wonderful choice for anyone looking for a lodging option in Fiji. They offer split level Treehouse Bures that require a lot of steps but have an impressive view over the ocean. Matangi also recently introduced their newly renovated Oceanview Bures – a great option for guests wanting to stay closer to the water and the sand.
Matangi also offers many activities for resort guests such as stand-up paddleboards, Matangi Bush Hike & Coastal Walk, and a Calypso Catamaran Cruise as well as off-island activities such as a Pearl Farm & Waterfall Tour, 180 Degree Meridien and Waterslide Tour, Lavena Coastal Walk and more! One thing is for sure, you will not run out of unique activities to partake in!
For clients booking through Tahiti Legends, we can also schedule a morning or afternoon picnic to nearby Horseshoe Bay, accessible only by boat and listed as one of the “1,000 Places to See Before You Die.” Spend a half day with a picnic and some snorkeling – the fish and coral in this bay are absolutely fantastic.
If this all sounds appealing to you, call your Tahiti Legends travel specialist to make this trip happen. Fiji is an exciting destination that is not to be missed!
