The mixed passenger and cargo vessel, the Aranui 3, is adding a day-stop in Bora Bora to its itinerary for 2014. Currently, the Aranui 3 is known for its voyages to the undiscovered islands of the Marquesas. This new stop to Bora Bora begins with two unique voyages in 2014 that depart on the 5th of April and 13th of December. The 13-night cruise will travel throughout French Polynesia visiting islands in the Marquesas, Tahiti and the Tuamotu’s before concluding in Bora Bora. Passengers aboard the Aranui 3 will be treated to a variety of landscapes such as: the rugged mountains of the Marquesas, the pristine waters of Bora Bora, the coral reefs of the Tuamotu’s and the cascading waterfalls of Tahiti.
Those onboard the Aranui 3 in December will have the rare opportunity to experience the final day of the Mini Marquesan Festival in Ua Huka on December 20th 2014. This is an event that is held every four years and is normally reserved for the Marquesan community. This is the perfect opportunity for travelers to immerse themselves in Marquesan culture.
On the final day of both voyages on April 17th and December 25th 2014, the Aranui 3 will moor up to the beautiful island of Bora Bora, where passengers can enjoy a picnic lunch on a secluded stretch of white sand beach. December’s Bora Bora visit takes place on Christmas Day, giving the passengers aboard the Aranui 3 a picture-perfect Christmas present.
