Good Morning! I hope everyone got some much needed rest over the weekend. Today I am so excited to tell you about Day 4 of Chris and my trip. We spent this day of our trip still on Rarotonga doing our site inspections, when we arrived at the Raratongan Beach Resort. I loved how authentically Polynesian this place was, and though it was a bit rustic in appearance, it still had every accommodation you could think of; a great library, ancient artifacts on display, Air Conditioning, etc. It was on this site inspection that Chris and I came to realize that this resort was run by our friend Tehanis (who is actually a former Legends employee) Father in law! Talk about your six degrees of separation. After we left this resort, we visited the Te Vakaroa Villas and met with the property manager Nicholas Reeves. He is very passionate about keeping this property as green as possible. Not only do they recycle almost everything on the resort, they also installed an alkaline water system throughout the resort, making the water the perfect PH level to drink. The Villas decor is what I would describe as Modern Polynesian, you still feel like youre in the Cook Islands with all the more modern comforts of home. That night, we went to a great restaurant called Sails Restaurant where I learned that you can either choose to dine there, or meals can be sourced from Sails room service menu with a chef available by arrangement. Within walking distance from the resort, there is a variety of restaurants that could cater to a wide range of personal tastes.
Be sure to check back for our next update tomorrow!
